Ravindra Jadeja And CSK Not In Touch Since IPL 2022, Could Part Ways Ahead Of Next Season
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is not on good terms with the franchise following a fallout during a rough IPL 2022 season.
Jadeja was named the captain ahead of the season with MS Dhoni stepping down. However, under Jadeja’s captaincy, the team performed poorly before he was removed from the post and the leadership was handed back to Dhoni.
The management said that the all-rounder’s performances took a hit because of the captaincy burden. The news wasn’t well-received by Jadeja, who has now lost touch with the franchise.
If things continue to remain the same way, Jadeja could well leave the franchise before the next season, as per reports in the Times of India.
Ravindra Jadeja removed all Instagram posts related to CSK
On the social media front, Jadeja removed all the posts related to CSK and was also the only player from the franchise not in the video that was posted by CSK wishing skipper, MS Dhoni, on his birthday.
The all-rounder will be hoping to switch franchises but he will have to wait for a trade offer from another franchise following which, the CSK management will decide how to go about it further.
As of now, Dhoni is set to return for the next season and he will be the leader of the side. Considering Jadeja is one of his prized assets, the 41-year-old might choose to convince Jadeja to stay.
Jadeja’s IPL 2022 stats were extremely poor. In 10 matches for the team, he scored 116 runs at a strike rate of 118.37 and an average of 19.33. With the ball in hand, he took 5 wickets at an economy rate of 7.52.
