Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar mentioned that KKR has been reliant on their top order heavily and hence, few wickets could expose their batting woes in the middle order. KKR has come far ahead after having finished seventh in the IPL 2021 points table and Eoin Morgan’s captaincy has been excellent so far.

However, they still have some worries with Eoin Morgan’s form, and Dinesh Karthik’s form has been very quiet so far in the UAE phase and they almost suffered a big collapse in the previous game against Delhi Capitals after cruising at one stage of the game.

Sanjay Manjrekar Opines On KKR’S Weaknesses

Sanjay Manjrekar mentioned that KKR’s previous victory against Delhi Capitals in qualifier 2 should not be considered a victory as they almost lost the game if not for Rahul Tripathi’s six. He added KKR could be in trouble if they lose early wickets and found a possibility of the middle order getting exposed soon.

“KKR should consider the last game against DC a loss and not a win. That game showed their weaknesses. KKR is too reliant on their top-order and if they lose a few early wickets, they could be exposed,” Sanjay Manjrekar told on Dafa news.

Sanjay Manjrekar Advices CSK Not To Expect From Dhoni Again

Sanjay Manjrekar mentioned that CSK should forget about the victory against Delhi after Dhoni played a stunning inning in the end and also wanted the side to not solely depend on the top order’s success from Faf Du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad. He added that Uthappa should be relieved of any pressure and played with the same freedom he did in the previous game.

“CSK should not bank on Dhoni to do what he did the other night and not get carried away by Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s success. They also should not put too much faith in Uthappa at No 3,” he added.
