Kolkata Knight Riders have made a dramatic turnaround in their fortunes after registering two consecutive wins in UAE. They began their second leg campaign with a 9 wicket-win over RCB, before beating Kolkata Knight Riders comprehensively by 7 wickets. Eoin Morgan and Co. will be playing their next game against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.

Currently, they are sitting at fourth position with 4 wins in 9 matches. Another win on Sunday could help them move further up on the table. Kolkata Knight Riders would be keen to continue their winning momentum ahead of an important encounter against CSK. KKR’s new opening pair of Venkatesh Iyer and Shubman Gill has been phenomenal at the top of the order in the second leg of IPL 2021. The duo showed an aggressive intent right from the start of the innings, something which was needed all this while. Venkatesh Iyer and Gill produced a match-winning 82-run partnership against Kolkata Knight Riders. Iyer scored his first half-century in only his second match against Mumbai.

Middle-order: Rahul Tripathi, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik

Rahul Tripathi played a sensational 74-run knock off just 42 balls in the last game against Mumbai Indians. He will be brimming with confidence at the moment.

The other players namely, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik haven’t been tested enough yet in the second leg of IPL 2021. All four are likely to constitute the middle order against CSK on Monday.

All-rounders: Andre Russell, Sunil Narine

Andre Russell is yet to play a ball in the second leg of IPL 2021. The West Indies all-rounder though bowled in both games. He returned with three wickets against Bangalore. However, the West Indies all-rounder went for plenty of runs in the last game.

The franchise would expect him to come back stronger in an important game on Sunday. Sunil Narine will be a crucial member for KKR on Sunday. He could definitely keep the CSK bowlers guessing with his guile and turn.

Lockie Ferguson and Prasidh Krishna have been brilliant at the start of the powerplay overs. The duo has bowled at great areas, making great use of the conditions on offer. Ferguson has picked four wickets in the last two games, while Prasidh Krishna has claimed three.

Varun Chakravarthy is going to prove handy for KKR against CSK. He bowled a stellar spell of 3 for 13 in 4 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
