David Warner And Kane Williamson Fast During Ramadan With Rashid Khan And Others

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain David Warner and former captain Kane Williamson showed great team spirit by participating in the fast with the team’s Muslim players during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan. There are many players who follow Islam in the ongoing IPL 2021 and all of them would have to adhere to the rules of Ramadan and fast for an entire day, despite having to play cricket as well.

Sunrisers Hyderabad itself has the likes of Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Khaleel Ahmed to name a few, who are fasting during the month of Ramadan and in a video shared by the SRH franchise, captain Warner and Williamson are seen talking about this holy month and sharing their views on fasting.

Kane Williamson And David Warner Fast Along With SRH’s Muslim Players During Ramadan

The month of Ramadan is the 9th month of the lunar year according to Islamic Calendar, and in this one month, Muslims around the world fast from dawn till dusk every day. The end of this month is the celebration of Eid. It is interesting to see that amidst the chaotic schedule of the game of cricket, some cricketers are also observing fast in the holy month of Ramadan.

In a recent video posted on Instagram by SRH’s Rashid Khan, Kane Williamson and David Warner can be seen sharing their views on fasting. The video also revealed that Williamson and Warner are also fasting alongside their Muslim teammates during his month of Ramadan.

Kane Williamson is yet to play a match for SRH as he is recovering from his elbow problem and Trevor Bayliss, the head coach, mentioned that Kane Williamson had started batting in the nets and might be seen soon on the field.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad is struggling to open their account in the ongoing IPL 2021 edition as they lost to Mumbai Indians (MI) recently in Chennai by 13 runs. It was yet another team getting a great start while chasing a mediocre target and then collapsing in the second half as the ball comes slower and slower on the bat.

SRH will take on Punjab Kings on April 21 in Chennai next.
