Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsman David Warner took to Instagram to reveal that he’s supporting the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final of the IPL 2021 season. MS Dhoni-led CSK takes on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the grand final of IPL 2021 tonight.

CSK holds the edge over an upbeat KKR

Dhoni and co. have an opportunity to fix their terrible IPL finals record when they go up against KKR at Dubai on Friday in the grand final of the IPL 2021 season. KKR has never lost a final and they’ve also beaten CSK once in the 2012 IPL final.

Both teams have a similar issue – the middle order. Neither of them seems strong in the batting department apart from the top-3, while KKR is marginally ahead on the bowling charts courtesy of their excellent spin-trio. Notably, Chennai batsmen are excellent against spin, which will be the battle to watch out for.

CSK opener, Ruturaj Gaikwad, has a chance of earning his maiden orange cap. KL Rahul currently leads the list with 626 runs in 13 matches. Gaikwad needs just 24 in the finals to go past Rahul. The previous time these two sides met, it ended in a last-ball thriller where CSK sneaked home courtesy of Deepak Chahar’s boundary.
