IPL 2021: Imagine The Benefits He Can Provide To The Indian Team- Virender Sehwag on PBKS Bowler
Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag reckoned the Punjab Kings (PBKS) bowler Arshdeep Singh should be nurtured and allowed to grow as he can turn into a fine bowler one day. He belongs to the unique group of left-arm pacers who can swing the ball at will.
India dearly lacks variety in their pace attack and has been trying to help Thangarasu Natajaran. He sustained injuries that left him out of the Indian team. Now, Arshdeep is turning out to be a quality pacer for PBKS in the IPL 2021 season and BCCI should ensure his talents aren’t wasted, as per Sehwag.
“That’s typical bowling from a left-arm fast bowler that comes in after pitching away from the off stump. He [Arshdeep] said he worked with Zaheer Khan for three days. If he can swing the ball in within three days, imagine the benefits he can provide to the Indian team if he spends some time with them,” Sehwag mentioned.
“He would surely make it to Team India someday” – Virender Sehwag
Arshdeep Singh has been in fine form for PBKS in the second leg of the IPL 2021. He earned his maiden five-wicket haul last week and is continuing to be KL Rahul’s wicket-taking option in the middle and death overs. If he works harder and maintains fitness, he can play for India soon, according to Sehwag.
Arshdeep was pivotal in his side’s 5-wicket victory over KKR last night. He had figures of 3/32 in four overs which helped to restrict KKR to 165. PBKS managed to chase it down in the last over with Rahul scoring a fifty.
