The IPL has been an emotional platform for most of the players and there have been times when the players have moved out of the zone and cried citing specific reasons. The IPL has set the benchmark really high and the Indian selectors have been very kind to the IPL performers by giving them a chance in the Indian colours.

Such has been the intensity of the tournament which defines that the players coming from the toughest stages have felt the international games a bit less nervous. The best examples have been Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan who has been the latest entry to international cricket and have not been anywhere nervous in their debuts. Kuldeep Yadav was taken to the cleaners in IPL 2019 and he felt the pressure of the cash-rich tournament. Moeen Ali smashed Indian chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav to every part of the ground and the assault yielded 27 runs off a single over in the game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Moeen Ali hit three sixes and two fours in the over and Kuldeep Yadav finished with figures of 59 runs for no wickets in his four overs. Once the over was completed, Kuldeep Yadav couldn’t control his tears and his teammate Nitish Rana had to console him. It was a tough evening for the left arm chinaman as his figures had let Royal Challengers post 213 for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs.

The IPL 2008 inaugural edition has seen a lot of controversies and the most interesting one was the slap gate incident between Sreesanth and Harbhajan Singh. Sreesanth was seen crying before the post-match presentation in a league game between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab. The two players played together for India in the 2007 T20 world cup.

Harbhajan was accused of slapping Sreesanth during the handshake and Sreesanth had revealed the reason behind the move was that Sreesanth had told ‘hard luck’ after the game. The matter had hit social media hard and the BCCI investigated it to ban Harbhajan for the remainder of the 11 games in the first season. A lot of players had come to console Sreesanth after Harbhajan had slapped him but he couldn’t stop to shed tears.
