IPL 2021: 5 Batsmen With Highest Strike-Rate In The Tournament

IPL 2021 will commence with the first match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians on April 9, 2021, in Chennai The match will be played at M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Along with Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians, the six other teams part of the IPL 2021 tournament include Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, and Punjab Kings. Only six venues will host all the IPL matches while playoffs games and final will be played at the same stadium which is Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmadabad.

Moeen Ali has the 5th highest strike rate in the Indian Premier League. The England cricketer has played 17 innings so far. He has scored 309 runs after facing 195 deliveries. This gives him a strike rate of 158.46 in IPL. Moeen Ali played for Royal Challengers Bangalore from IPL 2018 to IPL 2020. The England all-rounder was released by RCB ahead of IPL 2021 auction. Chennai Super Kings bought Moeen Ali for Rs. 7 crore in IPL 2021 auction.

4. Hardik Pandya

The hard-hitting Indian batsman Hardik Pandya holds the 4th rank for the highest strike rate in IPL. The Mumbai Indians all-rounder has played 74 innings in IPL so far. He has scored 1349 runs in 847 deliveries in IPL, which gives him a strike rate of 159.26 in the tournament. Since IPL 2015, Hardik Pandya has played for Mumbai Indians and is a crucial player for the team.

3. Sunil Narine

Sunil Narine has the 3rd highest strike rate in the Indian Premier League. Sunil Narine as so far batted in 66 innings in IPL. The West Indies all-rounder has faced 543 deliveries in which he has smashed 892 runs. Thus, Sunil Narine has a strike rate of 164.27 in IPL. Since IPL 2012, Sunil Narine has been part of the Kolkata Knight Riders. He will again play for KKR in IPL 2021.

2. Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran is comparatively a new player in the Indian Premier League. With his quick batting style, he has the 2nd highest strike rate in IPL. He has played 20 innings in IPL so far in which he has faced 315 deliveries and scored 521 runs.

This gives him a strike rate of 165.39 in the Indian Premier League. Nicholas Pooran was part of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2017. Since IPL 2019, he plays for Punjab Kings.

Andre Russell has the highest strike rate in IPL at 182.33. The West Indies cricketer plays for Kolkata Knight Riders. In 61 innings, he has played 832 balls and scored 1517 runs. Russell is a big hitter who increases the run rate with his hard-hitting batting in the death overs. Russell was part of Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2012 and IPL 2013. Since IPL 2014, Russell is a member of the Kolkata Knight Riders.
