IPL 2021 is expected to be conducted in April 2021 and the tournament will once again enthral the Indian cricket fans. After a gap of one year, the tournament returns back to India as the venue. Last year, it was conducted in the UAE due to Covid 19 pandemic. This time, cricket fans are filled with a lot of enthusiasm as they will be able to visit the grounds to enjoy the matches.

Indian Premier League has been a budding ground for emerging cricketers. Many cricketers like Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Shubman Gill, Axar Patel, Shreyas Iyer among others came to the limelight through IPL and then earned appreciation for themselves at the international level.

In every IPL tournament, cricketers are given the ‘Emerging Cricketer of the Season’ award, which is given to the young player who impresses cricket fans with his amazing performance. In IPL 2020, RCB’s Devdutt Padikkal won the award after he became the leading run-scorer for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in his debut season.
