IPL 2021: Graeme Swann Heaps Praise On RCB Leg Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal

Former England cricketer Graeme Swann hailed the RCB leggie, Yuzvendra Chahal, for his performance in the UAE phase of IPL 2021 and felt India missed a trick by not picking him for the T20 World Cup. There were a lot of eyebrows raised when the BCCI announced the T20 World Cup squad without Yuzvendra Chahal.
It was all due to his performances in the last six months which wasn’t at his best and India went in with Rahul Chahar as the leg-spin option. However, Chahals’ performance has improved vastly from taking just 4 wickets in 7 games in the first phase to 9 wickets from 6 games in the second phase.
Graeme Swann Hails Yuzvendra Chahal For His Performances
Graeme Swann mentioned that Chahal has been excellent for the RCB in the UAE phase of IPL 2021 and added that Chahal has shrugged off the fact of being dropped from the Indian side for the T20 World Cup. He also made a statement that he does not want to be in an English side that plays India with Yuzvendra Chahal in it due to his recent form.
“Yuzi Chahal has bowled beautifully since RCB has been back in the UAE – the IPL has been back in the UAE. He’s picked up his performances, he’s shrugged off the fact that he’s been left out of the Indian team for the World Cup and thank the lord that he is because I don’t want to be in an English team that plays against India with Yuzi Chahal in it,” Graeme Swann told on Select Dugout.
Chahal In Fray To Be Added To The Reserves
Yuzvendra Chahal might be added to the reserves of the Indian team as Hardik Pandya doesn’t look like bowling and Hardik is expected to be replaced by Shardul Thakur or Deepak Chahar from the reserves. Chahal has been very impressive since the UAE phase of IPL 2021 has started.
Graeme Swann is one of the best spinners to have played the game and Chahal will proud to have been credited from the legendary spinner
