Rajasthan Royals keeper-batsman Jos Buttler signed off from IPL 2021 with not only a swashbuckling hundred but also a parting gift for his teammates. After handing over a signed bat for his opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler presented Anuj Rawat with a pair of wicket-keeping gloves. Anuj Rawat played only one match in IPL 2021, the Royals’ last game against SunRisers Hyderabad.
Before his return to the United Kingdom, Jos Buttler gifted an autographed wicket-keeping gloves to Anuj Rawat. To make it more special, the 30-year old handed the gloves which he used for keeping in IPL 2021. Rawat also wanted the England cricketer to sign his Rajasthan Royals’ cap and Buttler was more than glad to do it.
Anuj Rawat, hailing from Uttrakhand, had the opportunity to lead India’s U-19 squad back in 2018. Rajasthan Royals secured his services ahead of IPL 2020 for INR 80 lakhs and retained him for this year’s edition. Rawat debuted against the SunRisers Hyderabad on the 2nd of May and though he could not bat, the 30-year old took a couple of spectacular catches.
