The climax of IPL 2021 witnessed Chennai Super Kings defeating Kolkata Knight Riders in the grand finale by 27 runs. As a result, CSK won their 4th IPL title under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Other than CSK and KKR, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore were other teams who also gave fabulous performances in IPL 2021. DC and RCB both reached the playoffs. However, they lost to KKR in the playoffs and could not reach the final.
Mumbai Indians finished on the 5th spot in the points table and lost the playoffs race to KKR on net run rate. While many players came out with incredible performances during IPL 2021, there were few players who did not play a single match throughout the entire tournament. Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings won the IPL 2021 title after defeating Kolkata Knight Riders in the final. While many popular players performed for the team in the tournament, there were many players who did not play a single match for the team. At one point, it looked like that Robin Uthappa might warn the bench for the entire season, but the team gave him chances towards the end and playoffs.

However, there were still a few players who were benched for the entire season by CSK. For instance, CSK bought Krishnappa Gowtham for Rs. 9.25 crore during IPL 2021 auction but benched him during the entire tournament. Cheteshwar Pujara was another player that CSK bought during the auction but did not play him in any game. Below is the list of all the CSK players who warmed the bench during IPL 2021.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals gave an astonishing performance in IPL 2021 under the captainship of Rishabh Pant. The team topped the points table after the group stage. But, unfortunately, the team lost the Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 matches and were ousted from the tournament. For Delhi Capitals, there were few players who did not play a single game.
DC benched players: Sam Billings, Umesh Yadav, Praveen Dubey, Ben Dwarshuis, Kulwant Khejroliya, Vishnu Vinod
Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders gave a memorable performance during IPL 2021. Railing at the 7th spot in the points table after the 1st leg, the team bounced back in the UAE leg to reach the final. In the end, they finished as runners-up.
KKR have many big overseas players in the squad like Eoin Morgan, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, among others. Therefore, the competition for the playing XI is quite high in the team. Kuldeep Yadav, Pawan Negi, Karun Nari, and Ben Cutting were some players who had to warm the bench throughout the tournament. Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians had an average show this season as the defending champions could not reach the playoffs. Most of the players were not in form, and as a result, a lot of players got a chance to appear on the field. However, there were still some players who did not get a single chance in IPL 2021.
We can say that most of the popular players who were part of the Mumbai Indians squad had the opportunity to play at least one match. Due to the team’s unsuccessful show in IPL 2021, the management gave chances to many players during the tournament.
However, there were few players who warmed the bench during the entire season. Below is the list of Mumbai Indians players who were benched throughout the season.

Punjab Kings

Like the last season, Punjab Kings remained far away from the title after finishing on the 6th spot in the points table after the group stage. Punjab Kings spent the most money during the IPL 2021 auction and bought many costly players in their team. Some of those did not arrive in the UAE leg.

Rajasthan Royals

Sanju Samson led Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021. The team was in the race for playoffs but, towards the end, lost every chance to be among the top 4. The team lost 9 games and won 5 out of 14 during the group stage. With 10 points, they finished on the 7th spot in the points table.

For Rajasthan Royals, we can say that the franchise gave opportunities to almost every player in the squad. As a result, most of the players got to play at least 1 game in IPL 2021. Oshane Thomas and KC Cariappa were the only two players in Rajasthan Royals who did not play any game. RR bought KC Cariappa for Rs. 20 lakh during IPL 2021 action. Oshane Thomas was roped in to replace Ben Stokes in the squad during the UAE leg.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore gave a fabulous performance in IPL 2021. Under Virat Kohli, the team finished on the 3rd spot in the points table after the group stage, winning 9 games and losing 5 out of 14. RCB always came up with the best combination of players in the tournament, which gave them a lot of success.

RCB gave chances to all the overseas players in their squad. However, there were a total of 4 players that the team did not play in any game. Wicket-keeper Mohammed Azharuddeen was one of them. The team gave chances to Srikar Bharat to play but did not pick in Azharudeen in any match. Below are the 4 players from RCB who warmed the bench throughout the season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad came up with a miserable show in IPL 2021. The team finished on the last spot in the points table, after losing 11 games out of 14 and winning only 3. David Warner led the team at the start, but Kane Williamson was nominated as the skipper midway.
