Kieron Pollard alongside other Mumbai Indians players was seen laughing at the move of wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan after he spotted the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar in the Mumbai Indians (MI) dressing room.
Meanwhile, Master Blaster joined the Mumbai Indians camp after a long wait of 2 years in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 United Arab Emirates (UAE) leg. Notably, he missed Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 and was unable to join Mumbai during the India leg of IPL 2021 as he contracted COVID-19 in March.
Ahead of joining the Rohit Sharma-led team, Tendulkar went through a mandatory quarantine period, he also shared the picture after joining the team.
Recently, Mumbai Indians shared a video of their preparation before their battle against the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings. In the video, wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan was seen quickly removing his shades after spotting Legendary Sachin Tendulkar sitting in the dressing room, this move by the 23-year-old left West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard in splits.
Ishan Kishan On A Rough Patch Ahead Of T20 World Cup 2021
Kishan was recently named in India’s T20 World Cup 2021 15-member squad, He was kept in the team as a backup wicketkeeper-batsman and a backup opener. However, with his poor run with the bat in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 UAE leg it’s difficult to say whether he will be retained in the World Cup squad or not.
Kishan was making a comeback in MI playing XI in the first few games of the second leg of the tournament. However, he was able to score only 34 runs in 3 games and was dropped from playing XI. Overall he has only managed to score 107 runs in 8 IPL games
Talking about defending champions, Mumbai Indians, they are currently ranked 5th in the standings with 5 wins and 10 points in 11 games.
