MI vs PBKS Head to Head Records: Mumbai Indians’ H2H Record Against Punjab Kings- IPL 2021 Match 42. The 42nd match of IPL 2021 will have Punjab Kings take on Mumbai Indians on Monday.

Both teams have already played a game against each other this season during the India leg of the tournament. Punjab Kings won that game by 9 wickets. Taking revenge isn’t the only reason for Mumbai Indians to win the match against them on Tuesday.

Mumbai Indians are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table with only 4 wins out of 10 matches. Every game from here on is a must-win from them.

They have played three games in the UAE leg so far and lost all three. Rohit Sharma and Co. are coming into this game on the back of a morale-shattering 54-run defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Mumbai Indians did well to restrict RCB to 165 runs in the first innings after conceding plenty of runs in the powerplay overs.

However, another failure from the middle order led to the defeat. Despite receiving a great start from the openers, MI were bundled out for 111 runs in the second innings. With the middle order continue to fail with the bat, it remains to be seen to see they make any changes to the playing XI.

On the other hand, Punjab Kings are coming off a 5-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. With that win, they have moved up to the fifth position on the points table with 4 wins in 10 matches. They are equal with Mumbai Indians as far as points are concerned, however, a superior net run-rate takes them ahead on the table. For Punjab as well, the upcoming game on Tuesday holds great importance.

They had a poor outing with the bat in the last game as they got bundled out for just 125 runs against SRH. However, impressive spells from Mohammed Shami (2/14 in 4) and Ravi Bishnoi (3 for 24 in 4) helped the team restrict SRH to 120. Punjab would be keen to win their next game and continue their winning momentum.
