MI vs PBKS: Weather Forecast And Pitch Report of Sheikh Zayed Stadium- IPL 2021 Match 42. Punjab Kings will be taking on Mumbai Indians in the 42nd match of IPL 2021 on Tuesday. Mumbai Indians haven’t begun their UAE campaign as they would have liked to. Rohit Sharma and Co. have lost all three games they have played in the second leg campaign.

As a result of that, they find themselves languishing at number seven position on the points table with 4 wins in 10 matches. They are coming into this game on the back of a 54-run defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

An impressive spell from Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult kept RCB to 165 runs in the first innings. Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers, picking three for 36 runs in 4 overs. Rohit Sharma (43 off 28) and Quinton de Kock (24 off 23), once again, gave a solid start in the powerplay overs but failed to convert that into big scores.

The middle-order struggles continue to plague them as the likes of Ishan Kishan, Surykumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard failed to step up. As a result of that, Mumbai Indians found themselves bowled out for 111 runs in the second innings. Despite three losses, MI aren’t knocked out of the race for playoffs. However, another defeat on Tuesday would surely dash all their hopes in IPL 2021.

Punjab Kings, on the other hand, would be riding on confidence. KL Rahul and Co. snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in the last game against SRH. On a rare occasion, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal got out early as Punjab didn’t get a good start at the top of the order.

The likes of Chris Gayle and Nicholas Pooran too got out on low scores. Aiden Markram top-scored with 27 off 32 balls and helped Punjab Kings notch a below-par 125-run total in the first innings.

Punjab needed early wickets and Mohammad Shami helped them get those. The Indian pacer sent both Warner and Williamson out in his first two overs. Ravi Bishnoi then ran through SRH’s middle order to leave SRH reeling at 60 for 5 after 13 overs. However, what followed was a counter-attack from Jason Holder, who kept SRH’s hopes alive right till the end.

Mohammad Shami and Arshdeep Singh held their nerves, in the end, to restrict SRH to 120 and thus won the game by 5 runs. Shami ended his spell with 2 for 14 in 4 overs, while Arshdeep conceded 22 for 1 wicket in 4 overs. Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the bowlers, picking 3 for 24 in 4 overs.

With that win, Punjab Kings have now reached the fifth position on the points table with 4 wins in 10 matches. Each game would be a must-win for them from here on.

The last game played at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium was played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. The wicket was coming on much better on the bat as compared to previous games. As a result, batsmen found it slightly easier. The fast bowlers, however, will continue to get some assistance. Though, because of the hot and humid conditions, it won’t be easy for them to bowl at a great pace.

Average 1st Inns scores 140

Abu Dhabi is expected to be hot and humid. The conditions here should suggest that there is no possibility of rain. One could expect a good game of cricket. The average temperature will hover around 42-degree Celsius.
