Former India chief selector Kris Srikkanth served in the position for the majority part of MS Dhoni’s tenure as India captain. Even though Chennai Super Kings had a horror IPL 2020, the franchise owners retained him as captain for the 14th season. After losing their first game to the Delhi Capitals, the Super Kings have registered four wins on the trot to capture the top spot in the points table. Though the 39-year old has not produced any telling knock with the bat, Dhoni’s composure and tactics were significant in all four wins, as his bowling changes worked wonders for his side.

In Chennai’s latest win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore, he advised Ravindra Jadeja to bowl to the dangerous Glenn Maxwell fearlessly. It paid off as the left-arm spinner knocked Maxwell’s leg stump as he wanted to smack it over deep mid-wicket.

Kris Srikkanth highlighted that the Jharkhand-born cricketer might be past his prime with the bat; however, none can match MS Dhoni’s ability to manage his troops. He hailed his brilliant display against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who crashed to a 69-run defeat against the Super Kings on Sunday.
