Former India chief selector Kris Srikkanth served in the position for the majority part of MS Dhoni’s tenure as India captain. Kris Srikkanth and MS Dhoni forged an incredible pair as India tasted success across formats, including becoming the number one Test team and winning the World Cup. The former Indian captain’s leadership skills in IPL 2021 has provoked Srikkanth to label Dhoni unmatchable when it comes to man-management skills.

Even though Chennai Super Kings had a horror IPL 2020, the franchise owners retained him as captain for the 14th season. After losing their first game to the Delhi Capitals, the Super Kings have registered four wins on the trot to capture the top spot in the points table. Though the 39-year old has not produced any telling knock with the bat, Dhoni’s composure and tactics were significant in all four wins, as his bowling changes worked wonders for his side.

MS Dhoni’s decision making and utilizing of the spinners have been highly effective while sending Moeen Ali to bat at number three have also fetched effective results. In Chennai’s latest win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore, he advised Ravindra Jadeja to bowl to the dangerous Glenn Maxwell fearlessly. It paid off as the left-arm spinner knocked Maxwell’s leg stump as he wanted to smack it over deep mid-wicket.

Kris Srikkanth highlighted that the Jharkhand-born cricketer might be past his prime with the bat; however, none can match MS Dhoni’s ability to manage his troops. He hailed his brilliant display against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who crashed to a 69-run defeat against the Super Kings on Sunday.
