Rajasthan Royals are currently sitting at sixth position on the points table. After winning the game by 2 runs against Punjab Kings, Rajasthan have suffered two consecutive defeats in their last two games at the hands of Delhi and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

They have secured only four wins this season and need four more in the remaining four matches to make the playoffs. Sanju Samson and Co. can’t afford to lose a game from here on.

RR skipper, Sanju Samson has been in prolific form with the bat. He has been waging a lone battle with the bat in the last couple of games for the side. Samson produced a sensational 57-ball 82-run knock in the last game against SRH to help his team compile 164 runs in the first innings.

However, the other batsmen haven’t lived up to the expectations. Liam Livingstone, once again, got out cheaply for 4 runs off 6 balls, while Evin Lewis scored for only 6 runs off 4 balls after showing his class in his last game.

Riyan Parag has been offered way too many chances. RR should think of replacing him with another Indian batter. Mustafizur Rahman and Chetan Sakariya have been doing a decent job with the ball but Chris Morris remained expensive in his last two games. Morris’ form is a big worry for the side ahead of a must-win game for them.

Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down 164 runs in the last game quite comfortably in 18.3 overs. Be it batting or bowling, Rajasthan Royals have a lot to ponder on. It will be interesting to see what changes are they going to make for the game on Wednesday.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s campaign got back on track after registering a 54-run win over Mumbai Indians on Sunday. With that win, they have moved up to the third position on the points table with 6 wins in 10 matches. However, they still need two more wins to confirm their playoff berth. Virat Kohli and Co. would be keen to put on a strong show against RR on Wednesday.

Virat Kohli’s return to form should be the biggest positive for them. He looked sublime during the powerplay against Mumbai Indians. Glenn Maxwell also played a stellar knock of 56 runs off 37 balls. It will give him a world of confidence. RCB, as a result of that, scored 165 runs in the first innings.

AB de Villiers though hasn’t made a good start to the UAE leg. He would be eager to add some runs under his belt. Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal’s impressive performance in the last game will help the side not to worry too much about their bowling.

The duo combined to pick seven wickets between them to bundled MI out for just 111 runs in the second innings. As for the changes, Daniel Christian might get replaced with another overseas batsman.
