David Warner:

David Warner has been one of the key players for the Surnisers side over the years and the orange army has relied on him to take the side home a lot. Warner couldn’t kickstart his IPL campaign in UAE with a bang as he was dismissed in the third ball of the game by an excellent delivery from Anrich Nortje. He was beaten for pace in the end.

Sunrisers do not have Jonny Bairstow in the squad as well and they will need to get good starts from the Australian opener. Warner has been very consistent over the years and it is tough to stop him when he gets going. He can play the anchor role as well and see through the tough overs with minimal risks.

Kane Williamson:

Kane Williamson did really well whenever he got an opportunity in the SRH colours for the last two to three years, however, he has struggled in the last three games. He has moved to the top order from the middle order and was expected to cherish the role which hasn’t been the case so far. He scored 18 off 26 balls in the previous game against DC and never got going.

Williamson is more than just a handy batsman in T20Is and he is a very clever batter. The extra responsibility is given to him as the SRH skipper hasn’t worked so far but is expected to work in the longer run. The right-hander will have to come good against Punjab and the short boundaries will definitely help him as well.

Rashid Khan:

Rashid Khan hasn’t had the same effect on the Sunrisers side he used to have in the past and has lacked the rhythm. The world-class spinner is one good performance from getting to his old touch and this will be the right time for him to get back into his best touch.

Rashid bowled four overs in the previous game against Delhi giving away 26 runs and picked up one key wicket of Shikhar Dhawan. However, SRH will be looking for more breakthroughs from the leg spinner and he will always be their trump card as well.
