Rajasthan Royals’ disciplined bowling performance so far in their ongoing encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders as Nitish Rana became the second casualty. Nitish Rana was the second wicket to fall for the Knight Riders as he edged a juicy wide delivery to Sanju Samson behind the stumps. The left-hander faced 25 balls for an uninspiring 22 balls.
The dismissal occurred in the ninth over when Nitish Rana looked to cut loose after spending a considerable time in the middle and not finding enough boundaries. Left-arm seamer Chetan Sakariya, who bowled his second over, struck in the first ball as Rana converted a potential boundary ball into a wicket. During his stay, the southpaw had managed only one four and a six.
Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders lost Shubman Gill, thanks to an outstanding direct hit from Jos Buttler. Gill and Rana had not got the two-time champions off to the desired start as they were unable to time the ball as well as they would have liked. The Knight Riders made one change coming into the match, drafting Shivam Mavi for Kamlesh Nagarkati. On the other hand, Rajasthan carried two of them, bringing in Yashasvi Jaiswal for Manan Vohra and Jaydev Unadkat for Shreyas Gopal.
