Frustrated Kane Williamson Shows Dissent After Getting Out vs Rajasthan Royals

SunRisers Hyderabad new captain Kane Williamson has not had the desired start to his captaincy tenure in IPL 2021. Kane Williamson’s strange captaincy tactics had already led Rajasthan Royals to punish his bowlers, including Jos Buttler smashing a hundred to lift his side to 221. With the right-handed batsman departing without making much difference with the bat either, he expressed his frustration.

Kane Williamson’s departure occurred in the 13th over when the captain found himself under pressure due to the required run rate. The 30-year old got his first boundary in the previous ball, guiding the delivery to the fine leg region. Williamson wanted to plunder a six to mid-wicket and played the pulls shot. Unfortunately, it went straight to Chris Morris, who took a simple catch to give Kartik Tyagi his first scalp, with the captain going for 20 off 21 balls.

Earlier, Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bowl and made three changes to his team. The Orange Army left out axed skipper David Warner, Jagadeesha Suchith, and Siddharth Kaul for Mohammad Nabi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Abdul Samad. Rajasthan Royals finished with 220 as Jos Buttler mustered 124 off 64 deliveries, while skipper Sanju Samson contributed 48 runs. Before Williamson, Hyderabad lost Manish Pandey, Jonny Bairstow, and Vijay Shankar.
