The opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad received a grand welcome at home after winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Championship with MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Under the leadership of MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was able to win their 4th Indian Premier League (IPL) title by defeating Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 27 runs in IPL 2021 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on October 15. Also under MS Dhoni CSK has entered into 9 finals despite missing few years in the IPL due to a ban.
One of the most talked-about names in the 14th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was youngster Ruturaj Gaikwad. The 24-year-old was consistently scoring good runs for Chennai Super Kings batting at the top order with Veteran Proteas batsman Faf Du Plessis and even smashed an exceptional century.

Gaikwad after a failure in the first few matches was backed by CSK and then the youngster never looked back and kept scoring consistently.
Ruturaj Gaikwad finished the season with the tag of leading run-scorer and the Orange Cap in the head. Overall Gaikwad scored 635 runs at an average of 45.35 and a strike rate of 136. Also, he is the youngest player to win the orange cap. Gaikwad also won the emerging player of the season award.

Meanwhile, many experts believe that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) should retain Ruturaj Gaikwad for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 as he the future of Indian cricket and a potential captain of the CSK after MS Dhoni.
