The newest leg-spinner to emerge, 22-year-old Karthik Meiyappan, grabbed attention with his hat-trick against Sri Lanka for the UAE in the T20 World Cup 2022. Meiyappan is an Indian by birth as he was born in Chennai. The family of Meiyappan spent many years relocating between Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Chennai. They ultimately made the decision to relocate to Dubai in 2006, which marked the beginning of Meiyappan’s career as an international player for the UAE.

When the IPL 2020 and 2021 seasons were played in the UAE, Karthik Meiyappan had previously worked with the CSK and RCB teams as a net bowler. The 21-year-old has taken 10 and 18 wickets overall in his 8 ODI and 12 T20I matches so far for the national squad. In the forthcoming IPL 2023 mini-auction, franchises will likely make an offer for Karthik Meiyappan.

David Wiese- Namibia

David Wiese, a right-arm bowling all-rounder who left South Africa on a Kolpak contract in 2016–17, had his big break when he helped Namibia, the country of his father’s birth, advance to the Super 12 round of the 2021 T20 World Cup.

He received two Player of the Match accolades in the competition as Namibia prevailed over everyone. Soon after, the Associate Nation overcame Zimbabwe in a five-match T20I series, they’re first against an ICC Full Member, as he amassed 48 runs and five wickets.

Wiese, who is now 37, is no longer considered a serious contender to succeed Jacques Kallis. He is a competent death bowler thanks to his variety, and like any finisher, he can score a few runs.

Rubel Trumpelmann- Namibia

Ruben Trumpelmann, a left-arm fast bowler, is the second member of the Namibian team on the list. Ruben, a Durban native, has taken 12 wickets in 19 T20 International games for Namibia.

He is a particularly effective new ball bowler in the format because of his capacity to swing the ball in the air early in the innings and extract bounce off the wicket.

Ruben’s economic rate in the game’s shortest format is 6.62. He might become a respectable backup player for any IPL team.

In his seven appearances for the team during the 2022 T20 World Cup, Paul van Meekeren, who had taken up to 11 wickets for the team, gained notoriety for giving the Dutch team an advantage with the ball. Furthermore, because he has provided breakthroughs in crucial situations, the side needed his lethal spells.
