Mumbai Indians take on RCB in match 25 of IPL 2024 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The match starts from 7.30 pm IST. After three consecutive defeats Mumbai finally tasted victory at home against Delhi Capitals.
Mumbai Indians piled up 235/5 with the bat and their bowlers defended the target. Everything seemed to have fallen into place for Mumbai Indians who finally had a clinical game.
Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan had a good start with the bat and then their power-hitters Tim David and Romario Shepherd provided the finishing touches.
At Wankhede where the pitch has even bounce and carry, it is their pacers who will have to make a big impact. The likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Gerald Coetzee, and Akash Madhwal will be key.

Tim David
David will slot in at six. He finally found some form against DC as he smashed 45 off 21 balls striking at over 200. Mumbai would hope that he continues his form.
Romario Shepherd
Shepherd will slot in at seven. He changed the game for Mumbai scoring 32 off 10 balls for his side. Before the season, he was traded from Lucknow Super Giants. Romario Shepherd made an instant impact after being named in the Mumbai Indians Playing 11 in the last match.
Mohammad Nabi
Nabi the Afghanistan all-rounder can slot in at eight. His batting at eighth gives the MI batting lineup a good depth and three all-rounders in the top seven. He can be an ideal foil for Piyush Chawla.
Piyush Chawla
Chawla can slot in at nine. He can also tonk the ball if required. So far this season, he has picked up two wickets in four games. He picked up 22 wickets last season.
Jasprit Bumrah
Bumrah will slot in at 10. So far this season he has picked up five wickets in four games at an average of 19.60. His economy rate has been 6.13 and he got to 150 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah is the leader of the bowling attack in the Mumbai Indians playing 11.
Gerald Coetzee
Coetzee concludes the likely playing XI for Mumbai Indians. Against DC, he picked up four wickets giving away just 34 runs, The Protean pacer picked up 20 wickets in the World Cup which earned him a contract with MI.
Impact Sub- Akash Madhwal
Akash Madhwal was the Impact Player in the Mumbai Indians Playing 11 in the last game. he might be used in the same role in this match as well. He went wicketless in the last match but MI has backed him. He picked up 14 wickets last season and made his mark.
