Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter Shashank Singh has not gotten over the pain of a narrow defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 23rd game of the ongoing IPL 2024 on Tuesday, April 8.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) thrashed Punjab Kings (PBKS) by two runs in a thrilling IPL 2024 encounter at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. In this PBKS vs. SRH thriller, Shashank Singh performed exceptionally well with the bat, but that went in vain.

Batting at number 6, the right-handed batter played a sensational knock of unbeaten 46 off balls, laced with six fours and a six, but he couldn’t take the PBKS over the line while chasing 183 for a win against the SRH at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium.

Shashank Singh's emotional clip goes viral

Apart from Shashank, Sam Curran (29), Sikandar Raza (28), and Ashutosh Sharma (33*) could manage to cross the 20+ mark, while others faltered, as SRH went on to record a narrow two-run win in the match. For SRH, Nitish Kumar Reddy was the hero, both with the bat and ball, against PBKS.

Meanwhile, a short clip is currently doing the rounds on social media, where PBKS batter Shashank Singh can be seen heartbroken as he couldn’t bring a win for his team against the SRH. In the clip, the star batter was seen really disappointed as he was trying to play a shot.

But it was the pain in his face from losing the game to SRH that caught the attention of the fans, with many saying he would play for India in the future. Maybe, he was thinking if he had played one of those shots with more force, then his team Punjab might have won the game, as it was just a matter of two runs.
