IPL 2025 Sold Player List
More than 500 players will be going under the hammer during the much-awaited IPL 2025 mega auction. The highly-anticipated event will be a two-day event, taking place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The ten IPL teams retained a total of 46 players. Of the 46 players, 36 are Indians and 10 are overseas. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals retained six players while five teams - Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad - retained five players each.
Delhi Capitals retained four players while Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings retained three and two players respectively.
After the retention, 1574 players registered themselves for the auction. The list was later pruned to 574 players - 366 Indians and 208 overseas players. Of the 574 players, a maximum of 204 players will be signed during the auction. Since each team can sign a maximum of 25 players, the ten teams will not be signing more than 250 players.
The teams have already retained 46 players, so 204 slots are still left to be filled. Each team can sign a maximum of 8 overseas players which means that the ten teams can combine to sign a total of 80 overseas players. With 10 overseas players already retained, 70 slots for overseas players will be available at the auction.
Here is a list showing the number of players each team can sign during the auction:
Chennai Super Kings: 20 slots (7 overseas)
Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 22 slots (8 overseas)
Sunrisers Hyderabad: 20 slots (5 overseas)
Mumbai Indians: 20 slots (8 overseas)
Delhi Capitals: 21 slots (7 overseas)
