Nepal Premier League Schedule
The highly-awaited Nepal Premier League (NPL) will get underway on November 30, 2024. The first edition of the tournament will be played from November 30 to December 21.
Founded by the Cricket Association of Nepal, the Nepal Premier League is set to be Nepal's premier men's T20 tournament. It will be played annually. The tournament has replaced the Nepal T20 League which saw its only edition taking place in 2022-23 season. The Nepal T20 League was discontinued due to corruption and match-fixing charges against it.
The Nepal Premier League will be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. A total of eight teams will be participating in the inaugural edition of the tournament. The eight teams representing the provinces or the cities of Nepal are - Biratnagar Kings, Chitwan Rhinos, Janakpur Bolts, Karnali Yaks, Kathmandu Gurkhas, Lumbini Lions, Pokhara Avengers and Sudurpaschim Royals.
The tournament will have a round-robin format followed by the playoffs. In the league stage, each team will be playing against the other seven teams exactly once. The top four teams will then advance to the playoffs.
A total of 32 games will be played in the competition. With 32 games to be played in less than a month, there will hardly be any time to relax.
