Venkatesh Iyer:

Venkatesh Iyer has been one of the finds of IPL 2021 and his consistently good performances for the Kolkata Knight Riders side earned him a place in the net bowler list for India in the T20 World cup 2021. Venkatesh Iyer can bowl seam-up deliveries as well and it adds to his top-order batting option with an unorthodox batting style.

The left-hander was one of the key reasons behind his franchise reaching the finals of the IPL 2021 and he finished with 370 runs in just 10 games. India does not have many seam bowling all-rounders at the moment to replace Hardik Pandya and Venkatesh Iyer could well serve as the sixth bowling that India needs. He is likely to be picked up for the series against New Zealand.

Harshal Patel:

Harshal Patel has been a brilliant performer for the Royal Challengers Bangalore this season and he picked a hefty number of wickets. The right-arm seamer used his variations to effect and was the go-to bowler for Virat Kohli in the death overs especially.

Harshal Patel finished as the purple cap holder in IPL 2021 with 32 wickets to his name and is part of the net bowlers for the Indian T20 World cup squad as well. He is also a big hitter down the order and is very useful in tracks that are slower. He is likely to make the cut into the Indian squad for the series against New Zealand where a lot of seamers will be rested.

Avesh Khan has been a sensation for the Delhi Capitals this year and he ended up being the second-highest wicket-taker in the race for the purple cap. The Madhya Pradesh seamer has been a regular feature in the Indian nets and he is likely to get a nod for the series against New Zealand.

Avesh nailed his yorkers at the death in the IPL 2021 and bowled a heavy ball with pace and swing in the powerplay to be very successful. He has been termed as the most improved bowler in the season as well by the experts and should be able to make his debut for the New Zealand series.
