India and New Zealand are scheduled to play a three-match T20 international series and it might feature a lot of debutants for India as they look into resting the seniors. The series will start in three days’ time after the T20 World cup 2021 ends, and this will be the first visit for the Kiwis side since 2016 to India.

With a tight schedule in place for the coming days, India is likely to give a rest to a few players who have been playing all three formats for the country continuously. The squad is yet to be announced and here are 3 Indian players who can make their T20I Debuts against New Zealand.

Venkatesh Iyer has been one of the finds of IPL 2021 and his consistently good performances for the Kolkata Knight Riders side earned him a place in the net bowler list for India in the T20 World cup 2021. Venkatesh Iyer can bowl seam-up deliveries as well and it adds to his top-order batting option with an unorthodox batting style.

The left-hander was one of the key reasons behind his franchise reaching the finals of the IPL 2021 and he finished with 370 runs in just 10 games. India does not have many seam bowling all-rounders at the moment to replace Hardik Pandya and Venkatesh Iyer could well serve as the sixth bowling that India needs. He is likely to be picked up for the series against New Zealand.
