I Haven’t Changed Much, Just Tried To Stay Side On, But It’s More Mental Than Technical – Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal speaking to host broadcaster Star Sports after the day’s play said that he hasn’t changed much and his innings was more about the mental battle. He said:
“This innings was all about grit and determination. I haven’t changed much, just tried to stay side on, but it’s more mental than technical.”
Mayank Agarwal added that he feels that if he doesn’t attack the bowlers he will get stuck and that’s why he loves to play aggressive. He said:
” For my batting, if I don’t attack I’ll get stuck, so if I don’t put Ajaz under the pump, he will keep bowling in good areas.”

Mayank added that he has spent a lot of years in domestic cricket and it has helped him a lot and he has carried his domestic experience and learnings to International cricket. He signed off by saying that they will look forward to “pile on as many runs as they can” on Day 3 to put New Zealand under pressure. He said:
“The Indian domestic circuit is tough, and the years anyone spends there helps them. It’s hard and the experience and learnings you get is phenomenal, and I’ve carried that into international cricket. We will look to pile on as many runs as we can tomorrow and put the pressure on New Zealand.”
