IND vs NZ 2021: Watch – Yuzvendra Chahal Teases Martin Guptill For The Use Of Swear Word Last Year In New Zealand

Star Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was seen teasing New Zealand opening batsman Martin Guptill ahead of the second T20 International match of the three-match T20I series between India and New Zealand which will begin tonight at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

Last year during the series between India and New Zealand in the Auckland Kiwi opener Martin Guptill addressed Chahal with the swear word.

Notably, Guptill was having a conversation with Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma and Chahal took the mic away from anchor Jatin Sapru and proceeded to have a chat with Guptill and said “What’s up boys? What’s up?” to which the Kiwi opener replied in a Hindi slang. “Kya be g**du?. This happened during a live telecast and fans recorded the video and shared the video on social media and it went viral.

Meanwhile, on Friday Yuzvendra Chahal posted a short clip on his Instagram stories where he was asking Martin Guptill, “What you said to me in New Zealand?” to which New Zealand opener replied by saying that “I said hey buddy, how are you?” He also added that he couldn’t remember what exactly happened.

Legendary South African cricketer AB de Villiers on Friday,  November 19 announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Meanwhile, Chahal took to Instagram to pay a tribute to his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammate. He wrote :

“AB Sir… words will definitely not do justice to the respect and love I have for you but giving it a try today. Everyone around knows that I’m the least expressive person even when it comes to my professional life… but I still remember the first day of our interaction many years ago which went on for hours and hours, Thoughts were flowing in and out that oh god I’m sitting with the legend AB Develliers & Sir the beauty of life is that even though today we share the strongest bond I STILL FEEL THE SAME… omg I’m sitting with AB SIR.”

You provided me the strength and courage to conquer many things in life and I will always be grateful for you.
