Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has opined that there is a lot of merit in giving game time to the entire team, but one match is hardly an opportunity for the players.
Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team successfully managed to win the three-match T20 Internationals series against Tim Southee-led New Zealand National Cricket Team at home by winning the first two matches of the series.

India won the first match of the series by 5 wickets at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday, November 17. Meanwhile, they won the second T20I match by 7 wickets on Friday, November 19, at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.
Notably, this was the first assignment of Rohit Sharma as a full-time skipper of the Indian T20I team and Head Coach Rahul Dravid.

In the ongoing series, there are few players like Avesh Khan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan and Yuzvendra Chahal who haven’t got an opportunity in the Playing XI.
Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra feels that the above-mentioned players will be given the opportunity to play in the third T20I in Kolkata. However, one match is hardly creating any opportunity because they might not find a place in the next T20I series of India, which will be against South Africa.
“So, Chahal, Avesh, Ruturaj and Ishan getting a game on 21st? While there’s a lot of merit in giving everyone a go, one match is hardly an opportunity. India’s next T20i is in late January vs SA. How many youngsters from this series will find a place in the XI then?” Aakash Chopra on Twitter wrote.
