The 23-year-old star India National Cricket Team opening batsman Shubman Gill played an absolutely fantabulous knock in the important T20I series decider match against New Zealand National Cricket Team on Wednesday, February 1.
The series decider of the three-match T20I series between the Hardik Pandya-led India National Cricket Team and the Mitchell Santner-led New Zealand National Cricket Team is currently underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Shubman Gill, who has been batting sensationally in recent times, made his T20I debut for India on January 3, 2023, against Sri Lanka. In his first two T20Is, he failed to impress, but in the third T20I against Sri Lanka, he played a good 46-run knock.
In his second T20I series against New Zealand, Shubman Gill registered 7 and 11 in the first two matches and many called for his exclusion from the team. However, the youngster proved doubters wrong by playing an absolutely stupendous knock in the third T20I of the three-match series.

After losing his partner Ishan Kishan in the second over itself, Shubman Gill had an incredible 80-run partnership with Rahul Tripathi and a 38-run partnership with Suryakumar Yadav.
Gill’s best partnership in the innings came with his captain Hardik Pandya. Together the Gujarat Titans (GT) duo stitched together 103 runs in just 40 balls at their Indian Premier League (IPL) home ground.
The 23-year-old stylish opener completed his half-century off 35 balls, with 7 fours, and at a point in time, he was at 63* off 43. Then, he brought out a different version of himself and went berserk against the Kiwi bowling attack.
He played an ultra-aggressive brand of cricket and completed his marvellous ton off 54 balls, with 10 fours and 5 sixes. Overall, he scored an unbelievable 126* runs off 63 balls, with 12 fours and 7 sixes. He broke Virat Kohli’s record to register the highest individual score by an Indian in T20Is.
In the first match of the white-ball series against New Zealand, Gill became the youngest Indian to score an ODI double century and in the last match of the series he has become the youngest Indian to score a T20I century. His 208 became the highest individual ODI score against the BlackCaps and his unbeaten 126 is also the highest individual T20I score against the Kiwis.
Overall, Shubman Gill has become the 5th Indian to score a century across all three formats of the game after Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli.
