With this victory, India was able to wrap up the three-match series 2-1 and continued its successful streak of not losing a single bilateral series there since South Africa defeated India in a white ball series in 2015–16.
After the game, Pandya revealed his ideology, in which he once more provided a window into his extraordinarily aggressive captaincy.

“Not to be honest (On doing things out of the box), I always play the game like this. I try to read what is required, not have preconceived ideas. In my captaincy, I look to keep it simple and back my gut. I have a simple rule – if I go down, I will go down on my terms,” Hardik said.

As soon as Prithvi Shaw, a young player who had not yet played, was given the trophy, he immediately demonstrated his people-centered approach.
Pandya received criticism earlier for not giving the young person a chance in the series on social media. Returning to the act, the trophy was taken from BCCI President Roger Binny and Secretary Jay Shah by Pandya, who then gave it to Shaw.
