Andrew Flintoff is a former England cricketer who was part of the national team in the first decade of the 20th century. He rose under former skipper and commentator Nasser Hussain and emerged as an outstanding all-rounder later.
After his retirement, he shifted to other fields like wrestling and media and enjoyed a lot of popularity there.
Andrew Flintoff was a brilliant medium-pace all-rounder for England. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium pacer who was part of the national side from 1998 and 2009. He used to bat in the middle order.
Andrew Flintoff is quite famous in Indian cricket due to his verbal spat with Yuvraj Singh in T20 World Cup 2007. Yuvraj got angry with the England all-rounder due to sledging during India vs England clash and shattered 6 sixes off Stuart Broad’s over. It is still one of the most memorable events for Indian fans from the T20 World Cup 2007.

Andrew Flintoff nicknamed Freddie from his childhood, was born on December 6, 1977, in Lancashire, England to Colin and Susan Flintoff. He grew up with his brother Chris Flintoff. He married Rachael Flintoff in March 2005 and the couple has four children.
Early and Domestic Career
Andrew Flintoff broke into the England domestic circuit in 1995 by joining the Lancashire Club. He went on to represent the same team till 2009. He also played his last season in 2014. After his consistent show in the domestic circuit, he finally made his national debut in 1998.
International Career
Andrew Flintoff played his first-ever game for England in a Test match against South Africa in July 1998. Till 2009, he went on to play 79 Tests, 141 ODIs, and 7 T20Is including the ICC T20 World Cup 2007- the first edition of T20 WC.
The England skipper slammed 3845 runs in the longest format and also clinched 226 wickets. In 141 ODIs, he piled up 3394 runs and picked 169 wickets. In his short career in the shortest format, he hit 76 runs and got 5 wickets.
Franchise Career
Since Andrew Flintoff bid goodbye to cricket after 2009, he has not played a lot of franchise T20 leagues. He was part of the Indian Premier League in the 2009 season and played just 3 games for Chennai Super Kings. He never returned to IPL. He also played in the Big Bash League in the 2014 season and was part of the Brisbane Heat.
