Mohammed Siraj is an Indian cricketer who plays for India in international cricket. A right-arm fast-bowler, Siraj represents Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL and Hyderabad in domestic cricket. Here we are taking a look at Mohammed Siraj IPL career.

Mohammed Siraj IPL Career:

Before making his debut in international cricket, Mohammed Siraj made his debut in the IPL in 2017. The IPL cricket career of Mohammed Siraj began with his hometown franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. He played 6 games in his debut season and picked up 10 wickets. While Siraj did well in his first IPL season, Sunrisers Hyderabad decided to part ways with him before the 2018 mega auction.

In 2018, Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured Siraj's services and the fast-bowler has been plying his trade for them since then. Siraj did struggle to make an impact with the ball in the first couple of seasons with RCB before turning things around. In IPL 2021, he picked up 11 wickets while maintaining a brilliant economy rate of less than 7.

In 2023, Siraj enjoyed his best IPL season to date as he picked up 19 wickets in 14 games while having an economy rate of 7.5.

In IPL 2024, Siraj did struggle with his economy rate but still managed to pick up 15 wickets, helping the Bengaluru-based outfit qualify for the playoffs. Overall, Siraj has played 93 games in the IPL so far and has picked up 93 wickets.

Mohammed Siraj has played for two teams in the IPL so far. Mohammed Siraj's first IPL team is  Sunrisers Hyderabad. After playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017, he has been playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru since 2018.

In 2017, Sunrisers Hyderabad signed up Mohammed Siraj for INR 2.6 crores. Royal Challengers Bengaluru also bought him for the same price in 2018 and he received the same salary from the franchise till 2021.

• Most sixes conceded by a bowler in a single IPL season - In IPL 2022, Siraj had conceded as many as 31 sixes. He is still the only bowler to concede more than 30 sixes in an IPL season.
• Siraj is also the first bowler to concede 30 or more sixes in an IPL season.
• Longest over in an IPL game - In IPL 2023, Siraj had bowled an 11-ball over against Mumbai Indians. He had bowled 5 wides in that over.
• The only bowler to bowl back-to-back maiden overs in a match, achieving the feat against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2020.
