Cricket Pakistan Super League 2022 (PSL)
The Pakistan Super League 2022 or the PSL 2022 was the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League, Pakistan's premier T20 franchise league. The tournament was played from January 27 to February 27. Due to Covid-19 protocols, the entire competition was held in Karachi and Lahore.
The first phase was held in Karachi while the second phase including the playoffs and final took place in Lahore. Multan Sultans were the defending champions but failed to defend their title. They made it to the final but lost the title-decider to Lahore Qalandars as the Lahore-based outfit clinched its first PSL title.

PSL 2022 Points Table:
After the double round robin format, Multan Sultans finished at the top of the points table. They won 9 of their 10 league games. Lahore Qalandars finished at the second spot with 6 wins from 10 games. The other teams to qualify for the playoffs were Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United.

PSL 2022 Stats:
At the end of the season, the player with most runs received a Green cap and the Hanif Mohammad Award while the player with most wickets received a Maroon cap and the Fazal Mahmood Award. Lahore Qalandars' Fakhar Zaman finished PSL 2022 as the highest run-scorer, scoring 588 runs in 13 innings. On the other hand, Shaheen Afridi was the highest wicket-taker, claiming 20 wickets.
