Multan Sultans take on Peshawar Zalmi in the 13th match of the PSL 2022 on Saturday at National Stadium in Karachi. Multan Sultans are currently sitting at the top of the table with 4 wins to their name in 4 matches. They are yet to lose a game in the tournament.

Multan Sultans notched a mammoth score of 217 runs on the board in the first innings against Islamabad United in their last game. Tim David wreaked havoc with the bat. He put an exhibition of sixes during his innings.

Striking at 244.43, Tim David scored 71 runs in just 29 deliveries, a knock which was laced with 6 sixes and 6 fours. Rilee Rossouw also gave him great support as he managed to score 67 runs in 35 deliveries. As a result of those contributions, Multan Sultans managed to score 217 runs on the board.

In reply, Islamabad United were bundled out for 197 runs, thereby handing a 20-run win to Multan Sultans. David Willey took the wickets of both the openers, while Khushdil Shah ran through Islamabad’s middle-order.

Shadab Khan kept the team’s hopes alive till the very end but eventually got out in the 19th over of the innings. For Multan Sultans, Khushil Shah was the pick of the bowlers, as claimed 3 wickets for 38 runs in 3.4 overs. Heading into their next game on Saturday, Multan Sultans would look to continue the winning momentum.

On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi too, are coming off a win against Karachi Kings on Friday. The Zalmis currently find themselves at number four position with 2 wins in 4 matches.

Peshawar Zalmi batted first in their last game against Karachi. Hazratullah Zazai gave the team a great start as he scored 41 runs in 27 deliveries. He stitched a 53-run partnership with Kamran Akmal for the opening wickets inside the first six overs. Later, Shoaib Malik capitalized on that start as he smashed 52 runs in just 28 deliveries at a strike rate of 185.71.

Thanks to those valuable knocks, Peshawar Zalmi managed to score 173 runs in the first innings. In reply, Karachi Kings were restricted to 164 runs, thereby winning the game by 9 runs. M Umar was the pick of the bowlers for Peshawar Zalmi. He picked 3 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs.
