Pakistan’s Babar Azam presided over another interesting press conference when the ace batter was questioned about pace merchant Shaheen Shah Afridi during the action-packed campaign of the Pakistan Super League after pulling a Rohit Sharma and stumping the reporter with a witty response (PSL). Babar’s Peshawar Zalmi will play the Lahore Qalandars franchise in one of the PSL 2023’s major matches in Lahore.
Babar Azam was complimented for his generosity because the Pakistani captain has a strong sense of camaraderie with his colleagues, who play in the top league in that country. A reporter complimented Babar for smiling as he greeted his peers when speaking with him at the media encounter. After that, the reporter grilled Babar on his PSL rivalry with paceman Afridi, who is in charge of the Lahore Qalandars team in the T20 competition.

Sometimes I Dominate, Sometimes Shaheen Afridi Does: Babar Azam
In response to the reporter’s query, Babar thought of a great answer that everyone found astounding.“Ro kar milon unhain? Kya kare, nahi khele fir? Aap bataye…(Should I cry and meet him, or should I not play? Please tell me…),” Babar Azam said. After the whole room burst into laughter, Babar opened up about his duel with Afridi in the T20 tournament.
“Whether we play against Shaheen and Lahore, the effort is always to give the best. The kind of bowler that he is and the way he is bowling presently, everyone knows that he is one of Pakistan’s best bowlers. He is improving day-by-day. Playing against him is a challenge and also gives me confidence, since I am playing the best bowler. It is difficult at times. Sometimes I dominate, sometimes he does,” Babar Azam explained.

“The competition can be seen on the ground. We spend time together and joke around as well, but the competition on the field continues. There is Mohammad (Rizwan), Shadab (Khan) and Hasan Ali. We all have to play together for Pakistan. The effort is always to give the best,” Babar added.
