The young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has asserted that getting out of the bio-bubble has been “very satisfying” for him and he is hoping that there are no more bio-bubbles in future cricket series and tournaments.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to conduct the forthcoming five-match T20I series between India and South Africa without bio-bubbles as there has been a drastic decline in Covid-19 cases all over the country.

Rishabh Pant is currently in Delhi with the Indian team as the first match of the five-match T20I series between India and South Africa will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on June 9. Also, he will be the vice-captain of the team in the five-match T20I series and KL Rahul will be leading the side in the absence of Rohit Sharma, who has been rested.

“Getting out of the bio-bubble is really very satisfying. And hopefully, there are no more bio-bubble things, so I’m enjoying the time out now. We have gone through so much,” Pant told SG Cricket Podcast.

The young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant further said that keeping the mind relaxed is very crucial.

“When you keep on playing throughout the year, especially with the kind of pressure it is important to relax your mind. If you can’t refresh your mind, you won’t be giving your hundred per cent. We need to keep working on our mind and keep refreshing,” Pant told SG Cricket Podcast.

When asked about his strength, Rishabh Pant said that he wanted to be called wicketkeeper-batsman because he started keeping wickets as a kid and his father was also a gloveman.

“I always try to give my hundred percent whenever I come on field. But I was always a wicket-keeper-batsman. Because as a kid I started keeping, as my father was also a wicket-keeper. That’s how I started doing wicketkeeping,” he added.
