Ravichandran Ashwin is the second-highest Indian wicket-taker in Tests having pipped the legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev during the Mohali Test. Also, now he has more wickets against Sri Lanka in Test cricket than legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne, who recently passed away.

Dhananjaya de Silva’s dismissal was Ashwin’s 60th wicket in the 11th game against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team in the purest format of the game and Warne had managed to pick 59 wickets against Sri Lanka. Only players above Ashwin on that list are Anil Kumble, who had picked 74 wickets in 18 Tests against Sri Lanka, Saeed Ajmal, who had picked 66 wickets in 14 Tests and Wasim Akram, who had picked 63 wickets in 19 matches.
