3. Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan is the first Indian player who might be snubbed from the upcoming T20I series due to his poor show in IND vs SL T20I series. Kishan scored a decent knock of 37 runs in the 1st T20I clash. He was expected to come up with a good show in the next games.

However, the left-handed batsman totally flopped and lost his wicket for just 2 and 1 in the next two games. Despite having a home advantage, Kishan failed to come up with a good batting show. Hence, other players might get a chance as an opener instead of Kishan in the forthcoming T20I series.

2. Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill is another player who won’t be seen in T20Is after a poor show in IND vs SL T20I series. Gill made his T20I debut in the series after a good performance as an opener in ODIs last year.

However, Gill got out for just 7 and 5 runs in the first two games against Sri Lanka. In the 3rd T20I, he came up with a better knock of 46 runs. However, he played a slow knock facing 36 deliveries in the match. Hence, losing the ability to score at a good strike rate, Gill might not be seen in the forthcoming T20I series.

1. Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel is another player on this list. The right-arm pacer was picked in the opening IND vs SL T20Is. He picked 2 wickets in the match. However, Patel emerged as too expensive in the match, conceding runs at an economy of 10.25.

He was also dropped from the next two games. Patel has emerged as too expensive in the last few T20I series he played. Hence, he might be dropped from the forthcoming T20I series.
