Hardik Pandya has been given the responsibility to lead the side which would be his first assignment in India. The flamboyant all-rounder is in the form of his life and is considered to be the leader of India in T20Is.
The Island nation doesn’t have good memories in India as they are yet to win a T20I Series in India. Last year, the team was completely outplayed by India where they lost the series by 3-0. Skipper Dasun Shanaka would take inspiration from the Asia Cup 2022 against India.

Shivam Mavi Handed T20I Cap
Shivam Mavi got his T20I cap from the skipper Hardik Pandya. Shivam Mavi’s career has been marred by his injuries. He was a part of the 2018 U-19 World Cup where his teammates like Prithvi Shaw & Shubman Gill announced their arrival to the stage. Mavi has got some sheer pace where he can dismantle the opponent. It would be interesting to see how Hardik uses him as he is quite a decent bowler with the new ball.

All eyes would be on Yuzvendra Chahal as the spinner has been in & out of the side. The leg spinner surprisingly didn’t feature in any of the T20 WC games where the conditions were quite familiar. Sanju Samson would be keen to make a case for himself after not getting a consistent run.
