Usman Khawaja slammed a fabulous century in the ongoing AUS vs ENG 4th Test of Ashes 2021-22. After the left-handed batsman reached his century at Sydney Cricket Ground, his wife Rachel McLellan was seen cheering for him from the stands with her daughter.
Usman Khawaja last played a Test match in 2019 and made a comeback to Australia’s Test side after almost two years. After his impressive show in Sheffield Shield tournament last year, he was picked for the Ashes 2021-22 squad. The middle-order batsman was benched in the first three matches but got a chance to play in the 4th Test. Upon his comeback, he earned all the accolades with his brilliant piece of batting performance.

A video of Usman Khawaja’s wife and daughter went viral on social media in which they were seen cheering from stands of Sydney Cricket Ground. In the video, Khawaja’s wife Rachel McLellan jumps in happiness and claps with her daughter in her arms as soon as the left-handed batsman reached his century. Have a look at the video below.

Usman Khawaja slammed his 9th Test hundred in the match and his second against England. He also reached 3000 runs in Tests with the knock, reaching the figure in his 78th Test innings. During the 3rd session of day 2 of AUS vs ENG 4th Test of Ashes 2021-22, Khawaja was unbeaten on 133 runs off 256 balls. Moreover, Australia are nearing 400-plus total in the 1st innings of the match.
Earlier, Australia opted to bat first after winning the toss. Openers David Warner and Marcus Harris scored 30 and 38 respectively. Later, two-down Steve Smith hit 67 off 141 balls. Usman Khawaja later added to England’s woes with his century. So far for England, Stuart Broad has scalped 4 wickets in the match while James Anderson, Mark Wood, and Joe Root have hunted 1 wicket each.

Australia have already won Ashes 2021-22 after defeating England in the opening three games. The hosts Australia outclassed England by 9 wickets in the 1st Test. Later, Aussies crushed the visitors in the 2nd game by 275 runs. Winning the 3rd Test by an innings and 14 runs, the hosts managed to regain the urn.
