The race for the batsmen with the most runs in T20 internationals has been intense at the moment and it will be interesting to see the charts at the end of the year. The ongoing series between India and New Zealand have been inculcating changes in the list of 5 batsmen with the most runs in T20Is.

Stirling has played 92 T20Is after making his debut in 2009 and has scored 2570 runs so far at an average of 30.96 and a strike rate of 136.05. He has scored one century and 19 half-centuries in the format and is closely followed by David Warner as well from the sixth position.

Aaron Finch:

The Australian skipper Aaron Finch finds himself at the fourth position in the list of batsmen with the most runs in T20 internationals. The right-hander is another hard-hitting opener who captained the men in yellow to their first T20 World cup trophy recently.

Finch has played 83 T20Is so far since 2011 and has hit 2608 runs at an average of 35.72 and a strike rate of 148.01. He has hit two centuries and 15 half-centuries so far in his T20I career and his numbers have dropped a bit after some poor series in the last few months.

Rohit Sharma:

Rohit Sharma has taken over the T20I captaincy for India from the hands of Virat Kohli and he will be captaining the Indian side in the upcoming T20 World cup 2021 as well. The elegant right-hander has been making a merry of the bowlers ever since he moved to the top of the order.

Rohit holds the record for the most number of T20I centuries with 4 to his name and he has so far hit 3141 runs in 118 games at an average of 33.06 and a strike rate of 139.72. He has hit 25 half-centuries as well and is third in the list of batsmen with the most runs in T20Is.

Virat Kohli:

Virat Kohli is a name that has always been among any list of top batsmen and he is second in the list of most runs in T20 internationals. He has been rested for the series against New Zealand and meanwhile, he has lost the number one slot as well.

Kohli is the only batsman who is not an opener on the list and he has hit 3227 runs in 95 T20 internationals so far at an average of 52.04 and a strike rate of 137.90. He has hit 29 half-centuries so far but hasn’t managed to hit a century yet.

Martin Guptill:

Martin Guptill leads the race for the most runs in T20 internationals for batsmen. The right-hander from New Zealand went past Virat Kohli in the ongoing series against India and is one of the better T20 cricketers going around.

Guptill has scored 3248 runs in 111 T20Is at an average of 32.48 and a strike rate of 136.64 with two centuries and 19 half-centuries to his name. He has hit 161 sixes and 283 fours so far and is at the top of the list.
