IND vs WI: Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan Undergo Training After Testing COVID-19 Negative, Still Not Available For 2nd ODI

Senior Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and star middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer have been tested negative for Covid-19 and have been cleared to do light training.
Dhawan, Iyer and Ruturaj Gaikwad were tested positive for Covid-19 along with four team staffs ahead of the ODI series against West Indies and the Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed the development on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer have now recovered from Covid-19 but youngster Ruturaj Gaikwad is still in isolation.
Even though Dhawan and Iyer have tested negative and they are cleared to train but they are not available for selection for the second One Day International of the three-match ODI series against the West Indies National Cricket Team, which is set to take place on Wednesday, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

“Both of them (Shreyas and Shikhar) are allowed to light training as per the protocol. However, the medical team will monitor them before a decision is taken about their availability,” a source in the BCCI told The Hindu, indicating that the Board may not want to rush things.
Mayank Agarwal And KL Rahul Available For 2nd ODI vs West Indies

Karnataka duo Mayank Agarwal and Indian vice-captain KL Rahul are available for selection for the second One Day International match against West Indies. Suryakumar Yadav, while talking about the duo said that the Indian squad will become stronger with their inclusion.
“Their (Mayank and Rahul) coming back after quarantine makes our unit stronger. At the end of the day, it is the team management’s call as to who will play or not. We are really happy to have them back,” batter Suryakumar Yadav said on the eve of the second ODI.
