IND vs WI: That's The Kind Of Captain He Is - Harbhajan Singh Praises The Freedom That Rohit Sharma Gives His Bowlers

Former Indian bowler Harbhajan Singh drew on his experience to point out that newly-appointed white-ball captain, Rohit Sharma encourages and gives the freedom to the bowlers to express themselves.
Rohit’s first assignment as the full-time white-ball skipper began on Sunday with a convincing win over Windies in the first ODI. He also top-scored for the team with the bat, rounding off a perfect day for the hosts.
“I saw he [Rohit] was giving a lot of encouragement to all the bowlers. I have played a lot of cricket with him, that’s the kind of captain he is, he gives a lot of freedom to the bowlers and tells them to just go out there and express themselves.“

“If you don’t know the plan, then he has a second plan. It’s a great thing from a captain if you get to do what you have to do as a bowler. That’s exactly what any bowler would require,” Harbhajan told on Star Sports.
“Good to see him in the Indian team” – Harbhajan Singh on Deepak Hooda
Harbhajan also expressed happiness at seeing Deepak Hooda make his debut for the Indian team after toiling it out in the domestic circuit for the past few years. Hooda finished the game off with Suryakumar Yadav at the other end.

“I don’t think he [Hooda] was unlucky. Whatever little opportunity he got in the latter part of the innings, he did what was required to be done at that point in time. I think he is a fabulous cricketer who has done really well over the years in domestic cricket and it’s good to see him in the Indian team,” Harbhajan added.
The second ODI will be played on Wednesday in Ahmedabad.
