Asia Cup 2022: What About Ishan Kishan?: Aakash Chopra On The Youngster Exclusion From The Reserves As Well

Ishan Kishan’s non-selection even for the Indian squad reserves for the Asia Cup 2022 has a little surprised Aakash Chopra.

A 15-person Indian team has been chosen by the selectors to compete in the continental event beginning on August 27 in the United Arab Emirates. The small opener has been left off the team because KL Rahul is back in the mix and is probably going to start.

In a video posted to his YouTube account, Chopra questioned several of the selectors’ choices. In response to Kishan’s omission, he stated:

“There are three backup players: Deepak Chahar, Shreyas Iyer, and Axar Patel. But what about poor Ishan Kishan? Ishan Kishan, who was a member of your previous World Cup side, has opened the most T20 matches since then.”

Aakash Chopra was also critical of Kuldeep Yadav’s lack of selection:

Aakash Chopra also offered a small amount of criticism for Kuldeep Yadav’s rejection, stating:

“You are all aware of my d love for Ravi Bishnoi, but Kuldeep Yadav had a case. When you have two leg-spinners on your team, you are probably thinking that you can field both of them together since you will not bench Chahal in favor of another player. Kulcha may have then started a game.”

However, Aakash Chopra noted that it is doubtful that Team India will field two wrist spinners in Dubai. The well-known commentator added details:

“Ravi Bishnoi has the chance, but I am not completely sure how much he will play because the conditions in Dubai could not be to his liking. Although we do not have any matches there, you can occasionally find that in Sharjah “

In the Asia Cup, it is unlikely that Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Bishnoi will pair up to play.
