Ravi Shastri, the presenter bungled up during the coin toss during the exciting Asia Cup 2022 Super 4s match between rivals India and Pakistan on September 4, 2022, in Dubai. Babar Azam won the toss and chose to bowl first.

India is 1-0 up against Pakistan in the tournament as they defeated the Men in Green in the Group A match in Dubai last Sunday by five wickets. However, since then, both teams have suffered some injury setbacks as they prepared for round two of the Asia Cup 2022.

Pakistan lost the services of Shahnawaz Dahani for this match, who had impressed a lot last time due to a side strain, while India suffered a huge blow as all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who had played a huge role in India’s win last time, as he injured his right knee and has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament.

Babar Azam Calls Tails, Ravi Shastri Announces Heads, Leaves Match-Referee Confused

Meanwhile, as Rohit Sharma flipped the coin, Babar Azam shouted tails in the mic at the coin toss, however, for some reason, Ravi Shastri, the presenter announced that Babar had called heads. The coin came down tails and the match referee Andy Pycroft seemed to be a bit confused.

But then Rohit Sharma cleared the confusion by telling Pycroft that Babar had won the toss.

During the toss, Babar said: “We will bowl first. The dew could be a factor, that’s the reason we’re bowling first. We had a lot of positives from the last match against India. The message is to play positively – one change for us with Hasnain coming in.”

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma announced that Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, and Ravi Bishnoi came in for Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, and Avesh Khan.
