India vs Pakistan: Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, Haris Rauf Can Give A Tough Run To India – Saqlain Mushtaq Ahead Of Asia Cup 2022

Pakistan National Cricket Team head coach Saqlain Mushtaq has said that he has full confidence in the trio of right-arm pacers Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain and Haris Rauf and has warned Team India not to take them lightly in the absence of the premier pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi.

On Saturday, August 20, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a statement in which it was asserted that the 22-year-old left-arm pacer Shaheen will miss the Asia Cup 2022 due to a right knee ligament injury. Notably, Shaheen sustained the injury while fielding during the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle and he is expected to return to competitive cricket in October.

Also, on Monday, August 22, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a statement in which it was asserted that the 22-year-old right-arm pacer Mohammad Hasnain will be replacing Shaheen in the squad for the upcoming Asia Cup.

The Asia Cup 2022 is slated to be played from August 27 to September 11 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Pakistan National Cricket Team are set to lock horns with arch-rivals India National Cricket Team in their tournament opener on August 28 at the Dubai International Stadium.

Pakistan National Cricket Team head coach Saqlain Mushtaq said that Shaheen used to lead Pakistan’s bowling attack, but in his absence, the trio of Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain and Haris Rauf can perform brilliantly for the Men In Green.

“For last few years, these three have been executing the plans and demands of the Pakistan team really well. The captain, me as the head coach, and the entire support staff have confidence in their abilities. Shaheen used to lead the attack, but these three, on a given day or situation, can change the game and give a tough run to India.” Mushtaq said at a press conference.
