PAK vs HK: "Our Nation Demands It" - Mohammad Rizwan's Honest Reply On India vs Pakistan Fixtures

Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan was the stand-out performer in Pakistan vs Hong Kong clash. The batter scored an unbeaten 78 runs in 57 balls and was quite instrumental in his knock. It won’t be wrong to say that he laid the foundation for Pakistan on a tacky pitch where the ball was keeping low. Hong Kong bowlers bowled with a lot of discipline as they didn’t give an inch to the batters where there was a good contest between bat & ball.

Rizwan would be relieved this time, as he didn’t throw his wicket at a crucial junction. The batter earlier had received a lot of flak for consuming balls against India. This time, the batter didn’t let the situation affect them as Babar Azam once again the skipper was dismissed in the initial stages of the power-play.

The management would be worried about Babar’s form as he has the capability of changing the facets of the match single-handedly.

Rizwan was seen addressing the media after the match. “We’ve jokingly convinced ourselves that it’s a best of three series. This is cricket and we’re always discussing about it, hoping we keep playing matches, going from match to match and into the finals. We always talk about this.”

“Obviously, we aim to improve our game and work hard because our nation demands it. The players in our current team are putting in the work and effort. There is a sense of camaraderie and we are trying to fulfil what our nation demands from us. And, as we all know, the end result is in the hands of the Almighty.

In the last couple of years, Mohammad Rizwan has become a force to reckon with. He is not someone who plays rash shots from ball one; rather than he slowly takes the game away from the opposition by playing unorthodox shots.
