The Asia Cup Super 4 match between Pakistan and Afghanistan ended up being one of the most exciting games ever played at the competition. After several turns, the team led by Babar Azam ultimately reached the target of 130 runs in the last over.
By slamming two sixes on the first two deliveries of the last over by Fazalhaq Farooqi, Pakistan’s bowler Naseem Shah dramatically turned the tide with 11 runs required in six balls and one wicket in hand. With his knock, Naseem Shah emerged as the night’s hero, but he also captured many hearts with a kind gesture.

Naseem Shah To Auction Bat For Charitable Cause
The bat that Naseem used to hit the two game-winning sixes was a gift from teammate Mohammad Hasnain. Naseem said in a video broadcast to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Twitter account that he would be auctioning the bat and would donate half of the proceeds to aid flood victims in Pakistan.

Since last month, there have been floods in several parts of Pakistan. AFP reports that on Thursday, people in the Balochistani region of Jaffarabad were escaping their houses on improvised rafts constructed from turned-over wooden “charpoy” mattresses.
On patches of dry land in the south and west, thousands of temporary campsites have sprung; frequently, highways and railroad lines are the only high ground in a landscape of water.
With humans and animals crammed close together, the camps are vulnerable to disease outbreaks; several cases of scabies and dengue fever have been documented.
The most recent National Disaster Management Authority report states that almost 1,400 people have died as a result of the floods. Over 1.7 million houses and businesses, as well as 246 bridges, were destroyed, along with nearly 7,000 kilometers of roadways.

Speaking of the Asia Cup, Pakistan advanced to the championship game with a stunning victory over Afghanistan. On Sunday, they will now compete against Sri Lanka.
